Joining Backline’s Advisory Board!
I am so happy to share that I have joined Backline’s Advisory board! Supporting the music industry, mental health and wellness is everything to me and combines all the worlds in which I live. I really connected with the Backline mission and team and feel they will provide tangible results to those they serve.
About Backline Care
Backline is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that connects music industry professionals and their families with mental health and wellness resources—streamlining access to a network of trusted organizations and care providers that truly understand this line of work.
Backline is informed both by music industry professionals and by mental health professionals.
We’ve built a network of over 150 clinicians around the country, including therapists, psychiatrists, life coaches, sober resources and wellness practitioners that have all been vetted by our team and have experience with and/or an understanding of the complexities of the music industry. Virtually all practitioners have agreed to a negotiated rate exclusive to Backline clients to accommodate the need for mental health care in the community.
Backline’s goal has always been to assess individuals in need with compassion and understanding and work to find tailored and specific referrals best suited for their circumstances and geographic location. This includes referring by clinical specialty, as well as by gender, race, and sexual orientation. We are committed to doing the work to make sure that individuals from all backgrounds can access and benefit from our services.
We believe that consistent, ongoing care is the most effective path forward, and it is our mission to make these options as easily accessible as we can.
Additionally, Backline provides free resources to the community via weekly support groups, educational materials, and wellness offerings. By partnering with other organizations to provide these resources, Backline is able to facilitate change through a holistic approach.
Ultimately, Backline is a platform for music industry professionals and their families to learn, ask questions, and find clinical support to navigate mental health challenges. Life in this industry can be incredibly isolating and difficult; Backline provides a safe, private, and immediate place to go for help.
